Brad Filip

MScPT, BSc.KIN

Registered Physiotherapist

Brad Filip completed both his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Masters of Physical Therapy at Queen’s University in Kingston. Through his continuing education, Brad has received additional qualifications in manual therapy, including advanced courses within the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Brad has also completed Kinetacore functional dry needling courses which he incorporates regularly into practice. Through the combination of manual therapy and dry needling techniques, Brad is able to facilitate recovery and resilience through highly individualized exercise programs.  This combination of skills allows his patients to work towards their goals while managing pain and improving performance. Brad has also built a strong working relationship with Donjoy Bracing, allowing him to recommend and custom fit a wide array of bracing solutions for patients who require them to aid in their rehabilitation goals.

After starting out his career in Kingston, Brad spent 2 years working in a clinic in Toronto alongside some of Olympic Canada’s top sports medicine doctors and health professionals. Since returning to the limestone city in 2021, Brad has enjoyed bringing his skills and experiences back to Kingston where he is often found mentoring aspiring physiotherapists from local high schools, as well as the Queens Physical Therapy program. Throughout his career as a physiotherapist, Brad has worked with a variety of patients ranging from professional NHL and CFL athletes to the weekend warrior and their grandmother!

Brad hails from Belleville Ontario, and spent most of his youth playing high level hockey and provincial soccer. Persevering through multiple knee surgeries throughout his athletic career eventually led to a keen interest in physiotherapy and a deep appreciation for the rehabilitation process. When he is not at the clinic, you can find him at the hockey rink, on the golf course or out riding his bike depending on the season.  If you can’t find Brad, he is likely out on a canoe trip with wife Laura and dog Ruby, who love to explore the outdoors as a family.

What our clients say about Brad

"I came to the Right Move due to a shoulder injury that left me unable to do Crossfit and kept me up at night with pain. I'm so glad I did - I saw both Brad and Ian and they helped me so much. They had lots of options for evidence-based treatments and exercises to get me back to doing the things I love again. I later injured my quadriceps and then my back, and Brad helped me make a speedy recovery yet again. This place is great and I can't recommend them enough!"

"I never had to have physiotherapy before to this extent with repeated, multiple visits; I had plantar's. I now have my mobility back! Brad was amazing from start to finish, from the first visit to the last! To anyone reading this - the 'Right Move' for you is to put your aches or pains in the hands of the Right Move Team - and hopefully not be in pain longer than need be. It is the right move...they will take care of you! "

Thank you, Brad and the Right Move Team!
